Dr Sameera Athapattu

Dr Sameera Athapattu is an experienced general practitioner and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He began his career in Sri Lanka, where he treated diverse patient populations and earned the prestigious Gold Medal for the Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine and Silver Medal for Best Postgraduate Trainee from the University of Colombo.

After migrating to Australia, Dr Athapattu worked in Emergency Medicine before pursuing his passion for general practice. He holds a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney and Professional Certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine and Aesthetic Medicine.

Dr Athapattu enjoys all aspects of family medicine, with particular interest in chronic disease management, men’s health, paediatrics, sexual health, preventive care, skin health and mental health. He takes a thorough and empathetic approach, supporting each patient to make informed choices for their wellbeing.
