Dr Ali Asghari

Dr Ali Asghari is a highly experienced psychologist at Asquith Doctors with more than 30 years of experience as a clinician, researcher and educator in both Iran and Australia. He graduated in Clinical Psychology from the School of Medicine, University of Tehran in 1981 and went on to complete his PhD at the University of New South Wales in 1996.

Dr Asghari is registered as a psychologist in both Iran and Australia and has extensive experience working with individuals from multicultural backgrounds. His areas of clinical focus include anxiety, depression, marital and relationship difficulties, and chronic pain. He draws on a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which helps people identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which integrates mindfulness and acceptance strategies to promote positive behavioural change.

Dr Asghari has also authored several books focusing on the assessment and management of chronic pain and remains passionate about helping patients achieve lasting improvements in their emotional and physical wellbeing.
