Dr Bibhusana Borthakur

Dr Bibhusana Borthakur (Dr Bibi) is a compassionate and experienced general practitioner with a special interest in mental health, women’s health and holistic patient care. She is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and has a diverse background spanning rural emergency medicine, psychiatry and general practice.

Originally from Canada, Dr Borthakur completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Queensland in 2018. She has also served as an Associate Lecturer, mentoring future health professionals, and has research interests in respiratory medicine, aerospace medicine and child psychology.

Dr Borthakur is dedicated to delivering patient-centred care that is empathetic, evidence-based and collaborative. She aims to empower individuals through education and open communication to achieve better health outcomes.
